PALEMBANG, SuaraSumselNews | GUBERNUR Sumatera Selatan (Sumsel); yang juga sebagai Penasihat Persatuan Wanita Olahraga Seluruh Indonesia (PERWOSI) Sumsel H. Herman Deru mengapresiasi kegiatan Lomba Senam Kreasi Tingkat Provinsi di Sumsel, yang dilaksanakan di Atrium OPI Mall, Sabtu, (15/10).
Menurut Herman Deru PERWOSI Sumsel sangat aktif melaksanakan kegiatan-kegiatan positif yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat mulai dari kegiatan religius dan olahraga jasmani.
Melalui kesempatan itu pula H. Herman Deru mengharapkan anggota PERWOSI dapat meningkatkan perannya dalam mendampingi para atlet wanita yang aktif maupun yang telah purna.
Herman Deru mengungkapkan, para atlet wanita terutama yang telah purna perlu mendapatkan perhatian khusus agar mereka yang telah purna masih bisa beraktivitas dan menyalurkan ilmunya kepada atlet wanita yang baru lahir.
Sementara itu, Ketua PERWOSI Sumsel Hj Fauziah Mawardi Yahya mengatskan kegiatan lomba senam tersebut merupakan saah satu rangkaian dari HUT PERWOSI ke 55 tahun. Dimana nantinya pemenang dari perwakilan seluruh Provinsi akan mengikuti kegiatan lomba serupa secara tingkat nasional. (ril)
