Pembangunan PLTU 8 Sumsel Sudah Capai 72 Persen
TANJUNG ENIM, SuaraSumselNews | KEINGINAN Sumatera Selatan (Sumsel) untuk menjadi lumbung energi nasional semakin nyata. Hal itu menyusul dibangunnya Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU) Tanjung Lalang atau lebih dikenal dengan PLTU 8 Sumsel yang berada di Desa Tanjung Lalang, Kecamatan Tanjung Agung, Kabupaten Muaraenim.
“Pembangunan PLTU Tanjung Lalang ini semakin membuktikan Sumsel merupakan lumbung energi nasional,” ujar Gubernur Sumsel H Herman Deru saat meninjau progres pembangunan PLTU 8 Sumsel tersebut, Sabtu (13/3).
Terlebih, pembangunan PLTU dengan kapasitas 2 X 660 megawatt oleh PT Bukit Asam yang bekerjasama dengan perusahaan asal negeri Tirai Bambu itu disebut-sebut merupakan yang terbesar dan mampu mensuplay kebutuhan listrik di pulau Sumatera.
“Bahkan kita bisa mensuplay energi listrik kita ke pulau lain jika jaringan listrik bawah laut telah tersedia. ini akan menjadi satu-satunya kawasan ekonomi khusus energi yang di dalamnya juga akan memproduksi batubara menjadi gas dan hasil produksi lainnya dan ini yang pertama,” paparnya.
Herman Deru sendiri menyatakan dukungannya terhadap pembangunan PLTU tersebut. Sebab, dia menilai, PLTU tersebut akan membawa dampak baik bagi Sumsel.
“Ini akan membawa dampak besar bagi pendapatan negara. Untuk daerah juga demikian berdampak langsung dengan terciptanya lapangan kerja baru. Dimasa pandemi ini saja, ada sekitar 3000 tenaga kerja lokal terserap,” tuturnya.
Dampak lainnya yakni akan menggeliatnya ekonomi baru sekitar kawasan PLTU tersebut. “Inj juga akan menumbuhkan ekonomi rakyat. Mulai dari hal kecil seperti usaha makanan. Ini akan sangat membantu masyarakat sehingga ekonominya meningkat,” imbuhnya.
Lebih jauh dikatakannya, pembangunan PLTU tersebut ditargetkan akan rampung pada Maret 2022 mendatang. “Targetnya Maret tahun depan pembangunan ini selasai dan sudah bisa menyuplay listrik,” terangnya.
Dilain pihak, Wakil Direktur Huadian Bukit Asam Power (HBAP) Dody Arsadian mengatakan, terhitung pada akhir Ferbruari 2021 lalu, progres pembangunan PLTU 8 Sumsel sudah lebib dari 50 persen.
“Sejauh ini tidak ada kendala dalam pembangunannnya. Progresnya sudah sampai 72,6 persen. Seperti yang disampaikan pak Gubernur pada Maret 2022 mudah-mudahan sudah siap digunakan,” ujarnya.
Terkait dukungan Gubernur Herman Deru terhadap pembangunan PLTU tersebut, dia juga memberikan apresiasinya.
“Sudah lama kita menunggu kunjungan pak Gubernur ini. Kita ingin membuktikan janji yang telah kita sampaikan. Kita harapkan, kunjungan selanjutnya bisa dilakukan pak Gubernur saat peresmian nanti. Yang jelas, kami ucapkan terima kasih atas dukungan tersebut,” pungkasnya. (*)
